About this teaching model

A generic single-cylinder, four-stroke, two-valve OHC engine. The separated cam lobes and side timing drive are schematic views. Valve clearances and leakage gaps are exaggerated for visibility.

The crank and connecting rod follow slider-crank geometry. The cam turns once per two crank revolutions. Example valve events: inlet 10° before intake TDC to 40° after intake BDC; exhaust 40° before exhaust BDC to 10° after exhaust TDC. These are teaching values, not service specifications.

RPM changes the illustrative spark map; playback speed controls how quickly you see a cycle. Flow particles, pressure, heat, fuel effects and fault severity are qualitative. No horsepower, measured temperature or diagnostic result is predicted. The engine continues turning during fault demonstrations so you can inspect the mechanism.

Liquid cooling includes a simplified bypass when the thermostat is closed. Oil routing is schematic. This model does not represent a particular motorcycle or ECU. Cam timing, ignition timing, pre-ignition and knock are different concepts; this release demonstrates commanded ignition timing, not pre-ignition or a knock simulation.

Malayalam is available for customer explanations; technical controls retain English workshop terms.
